Hi, I'm Jelena, an animation filmmaker, illustrator, and educator based in Zagreb.

Drawing is at the centre of my creative practice. Most of my projects begin as sketches and gradually develop into stories, films, or visual concepts. I primarily work with 2D frame-by-frame animation, using movement to expand the expressive potential of a drawing. I'm particularly interested in character design, visual storytelling, and finding humour in unexpected places.

Alongside my personal work, I teach animation at the Academy of Fine Arts. Whether I'm creating my own projects or working with others, I'm most interested in ideas that are visually engaging, playful, and thoughtfully crafted.
